How Much Does It Cost to Charter a Boat in Fiji?

The cost of chartering a yacht in Fiji depends on several factors, including the size of the yacht, duration of the trip, season, and level of luxury. Chartering as a group or with multiple families can also help reduce costs, as the rate is for the entire yacht rather than per person. As a rough guide:

• Smaller luxury yachts (under 30m): Starting from USD 20,000– 80,000 per week. Examples include Crazy Horse and Triple 888 Eight.‍
• Mid-size superyachts (30m–40m): Ranging from USD 80,000– 150,000 per week. Examples include De Lisle III.
• ‍Large luxury superyachts (40m+): Starting from USD 150,000+ per week, with ultra-luxury options reaching USD 500,000+ per week. Examples include AIX, Big Sky and The Beast.

These rates typically cover the yacht, crew, and standard amenities, but additional costs like fuel, food and beverages, dockage fees, and activities are usually calculated separately under an Advance Provisioning Allowance (APA), which is typically 25–35% of the base charter rate. 

This amount is paid upfront and managed by the yacht’s captain to cover onboard expenses. Any unused funds are refunded at the end of the trip, while any excess costs will be settled before disembarkation. Fiji also charges a 5% charter tax.
